17 Swimsuits With Rave Reviews on Amazon (Plus 8 That Are Just Pretty)

Do you ever find yourself 15 pages deep into an Amazon search, reading product reviews with such intensity that you feel like you know the people writing them? Because I sure have. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve gone into a rabbit hole of reviews on Amazon, and let’s face it, it won’t be the last. Haters will say it’s a waste of time, but to them, I simply show off my well-curated shopping cart, which is now full of prospective purchases that feel satisfying because of how well-researched they are.

Well, on a recent such virtual shopping trip, I focused my attention on swimsuits. And boy, do I have some excellent finds to share with you here. Swimsuit season is almost here, and even if it means I’ll be sporting mine in my backyard, I’m still just as excited to add a few new styles to my wardrobe. … Read the rest

I Tried Everything From Kim Kardashian's Sold-Out Skims Line–Here's My Review

By now, you and the rest of the world are probably up to date with the newest venture from Kim Kardashian. Skims—a loungewear-meets-intimates-meets-shapewear brand—launched almost two years and has already secured retail space at big-name retailers like Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, and Ssense. Of course, as with almost anything Kardashian does, Skims launched with much fanfare and press, but I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical. Celebrity-founded or celebrity-endorsed clothing lines come a dime a dozen, and as a fashion editor, your eye becomes even more discerning. But unlike the trove of those celeb brands, I kept hearing from my peers that Skims is actually good. To be even more precise, my friends called it a game-changer. While shapewear and seamless intimates have always been a thing, until Skims, they haven’t been as accessible in such a diverse range of flesh-tone colors and sizes at a relatively affordable price point. The vast world of beauty products can be overwhelming Whether you seek advice from experts on Instagram, influencers on Tik-Tok, or even our own expert editors, determining what products are actually worth your time—and investment—can be daunting.

That’s right, Amazon has aggregated the most viral, top-selling products into a single handy “Internet Famous” landing page that is easy to filter by category and price, and most importantly, add to your cart so you can experience these buzzworthy products for yourself.

I will never forget the day I discovered TheSkimm in 2012; it was a breath of fresh air in an inundated news cycle. It offered a digestible delivery of news that was direct and, quite frankly, made sense. Thus, TheSkimm quickly became my—and many others’—go-to news source.

On July 18, 2012, Carly Zakin and Danielle Weisberg released a newsletter to roughly 3500 email addresses, which would eventually become TheSkimm, a trusted source for news for a community of more than seven million Skimm’rs. Zakin and Read the rest

5 Minimalist Influencers Just Told Me What They Want to Wear This Summer

Recently, there’s been a lot of talk about dressing joyfully, and I’ve been very much on board with this sentiment. After over a year of pretty much being on lockdown and wearing joggers, it’s only natural that we’re gravitating towards bright pops of colors and fun patterns to remerge as social butterflies for dinners, brunches and the bar. But we shouldn’t overlook those basics that continue to make up the staple of our wardrobes—joy can be found under many guises. We know from our own intel at Who What Wear that the pieces that tend to sell the best are basics such as white tees, black dresses and vest tops, arguably the bread and butter of our summer wardrobes.

I turned to five of my favorite people to follow on IG who are well known for their more pared-back wardrobes. Each one has their own distinct style, but the key … Read the rest

I Turned 41 This Month, so I Had a Thread Lift—Here's Why I Recommend It

First of all, let me speak to the elephant in the room. At age 41, I am still young with healthy skin (thanks to a stringent routine of cleansing, toning, treating, moisturizing, and sunscreening since age 14), and quite honestly, I feel better in my skin than I ever have. But there’s no denying the collagen depletion and bone loss that comes with age. Yes, that’s right! Apparently, bone mass peaks around ages 25–30 years and declines gradually thereafter in both men and women. Yay!

This is why I started having fillers at around age 37 (you can read my previous articles where I wax lyrical about liquid facials and lip fillers). Now that I’m entering my 40s, I wanted to try something that didn’t just fill the depleted areas but actually helped my own body generate its own collagen over time. Enter: thread lifts. I first heard about Read the rest

I've Basically Become a Bikini Instagram Expert—These 6 Styles Photograph Best

Bikinis hold a special place in my heart. Swimwear was the very first market I was assigned to edit when I became a fashion editor, and now, after years of discovering the latest trends, meeting designers, and working on photo shoots, I’ve become quite the bikini expert. From retro maillots and barely there bikinis to swim skirts and the return of the low rise, I’ve seen and tried them all. Thus, my Instagram has become a true testament to my ongoing love affair with bikinis.

We are inundated with bikini styles, colors, patterns, and fabrics to choose from (not a terrible situation), and it can be challenging to filter through and find the silhouettes that work best for you. Even though I have bins overflowing with every single bikini style you can imagine, I tend to remain loyal to the same six styles that are flattering and, of Read the rest

I Already Bought 13 Bikinis for Summer—These 9 Fit Me Best

As much as I love being at the beach and all the cute ‘fits and accessories that accompany a day by the sea, I don’t really love shopping for swimwear. I’m a bikini wearer through and through (apologies in advance to all of my one-piece lovers out there), but it’s often difficult to find ones that fit well. I’ve talked to many friends with a range of body types who agree: Swimwear doesn’t always hug in all the right places or cover what you need it to cover when you need it to.

But there’s good news! I bought 13 bikinis already this summer (yes 13—I have issues), and I have only amazing things to say about nine of them. From a celeb-favorite two-piece I simply had to try to trendier swim styles, these are my favorites for summer 2021.

Hailey Bieber recently wore a similar Triangl bikini on a

Most People Will Dislike This Denim Trend, But Ready or Not, It's Taking Over

Another season, another denim trend to enter the scene. As you can probably tell, we’re big fans of denim and all of its variations around these parts, so when we get wind of a new favorite to make the rounds, we won’t hesitate to see what it’s all about. This time, colored denim is stepping into the spotlight, showing up from across our favorite go-to brands like Zara, Stella McCartney, and Etro. Arguably the trend really jumpstarted after Chanel’s SS21 runway show, where one look showcased a pair of high-waisted pink jeans styled against an elegant, cropped cape; it felt true to Chanel Creative Director Virgie Viard’s dressed down meets formal princess-y aesthetic and gave us a dose of styling inspiration in the process.

You may already own a few pairs of khaki or dusk-colored jeans in soft neutral tones, but what sets this trend apart is its louder approach … Read the rest
